A process for preparation of lactose concentrate provides for heating of skimmed whey, purification from protein by ultrafiltration, desalination of ultrafiltrate by electrodialysis, liquor concentration by vacuum-evaporation. The ultrafiltrate of skimmed milk whey is heated by the secondary stream or condensate from vacuum-evaporation device to the temperature of 55-60 °C, concentrated by membrane distillation to the concentration of solids of 25-30%, supplied to electrodialysis apparatus with the temperature of 20-45 °C. |
