PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a developing device compact by making the axial length of a developing roller short while securing a developable area of a sleeve and a pressing-in margin of flanges pressed in a sleeve. SOLUTION: On internal flanks of the pair of flanges 33 and 34 pressed in both end openings of the sleeve 31, circular recessed parts 37a and 37b which have a larger internal diameter than the external diameter of a magnet roller 32 are formed having their center at the center axis of a cored bar. Both side parts of a magnet roller 32 arranged in the sleeve 31 are disposed in the recessed parts 37a and 37b. Here, the pair of flanges 33 and 34 are preferably made of nonmagnetic materials from the point of view of making uniform a developer layer formed on a sleeve surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
