PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus that, when a user deviates mistakenly from a guide path at a guide point, displays a route which should have been taken at the guide point and thereby enables the user to easily recognize the correct route. SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus includes: a path searching section for finding a path from a predetermined position to a destination; a position detecting section for detecting the current position of a vehicle on which the navigation apparatus has been mounted; a determining section for determining, in accordance with the position of the vehicle as detected by the position detecting section, whether or not the vehicle has deviated, at a guide point of the path found by the path searching section, from the path found by the path searching section; and a display control section for, when the determining section has determined that the vehicle has deviated from the path found by the path searching section, carrying out a first guide display indicating a route which should have been taken at the guide point.
