PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and precise resolver type rotation angle detector with a price performance ratio enhanced, as compared with that of conventional one. SOLUTION: A portion 303p projected perpendicularly, with respect to a portion extended radially, is formed in each tooth part 303 of a stator body 311 to wind a detection coil comprising a "sin" coil 31a and a "cos" coil 31b in a resolver. The region for arranging the detection coil in each slot 302 is partitioned radially into a first coil region Dw1 and a second coil region Dw2 by the projected part 303p. The first magnet wire for forming the sin coil 31a, and the second magnet wire for forming the cos coil 31b are sequentially wound on the each tooth part 303 to arrange the sin coil 31a in the first coil region Dw1 and to arrange the cos coil 31b in the second coil region Dw2, out of the detection coil.
