The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a producing method thereof, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same and, more specifically, to a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, comprising: a lithium-transition metal composite oxide; and a coating layer placed on a surface of the lithium-transition metal composite oxide, to a producing method of the positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery which forms a coating layer which coats metal oxide on a surface of the lithium-transition metal composite oxide by a physical vapor deposition (PVD) method, and to a lithium secondary battery comprising the same.
