PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in visibility due to reflection of external light with a simple configuration without significantly impairing transmittance; and to provide an optical element that can suppress reflection of a display image without causing moire and the like and extremely narrowing a viewing angle, and an on-vehicle display device using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a transmissive optical element 5 attached to a display device 4, the optical element including a polarizing plate 3 on a visible side, and a phase difference layer 1 and an optical activity layer 2 having optical activity between the polarizing plate 3 and the display device 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
