A pet monitoring device, a control terminal and a method therefor are disclosed. The pet monitoring device comprises: a camera unit attached to a pet so as to transmit view image information of the pet to the control terminal; a light-emitting unit receiving lighting control information from the control terminal so as to emit light; a speaker unit for outputting acoustic information received from the control terminal; a microphone unit for transmitting sounds made by the pet to the control terminal; a state checking unit for transmitting information of at least one of activity amount, body temperature and heart rate of the pet to the control terminal; and a position information unit for transmitting real-time position information of the pet to the control terminal.
