PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a high aspect ratio silver nanowire.SOLUTION: There is provided a process including adding water, reduction sugar, polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), a copper (II) ion source, a halide ion source and a pH adjustment agent to a container to form a combination product with pH 2.0 to 4.0, heating the combination product at 110 to 160°C and then adding a silver ion source to the container to form a grown mixture and then holding the grown mixture at 110 to 160°C for 2 to 30 hours to provide a product mixture and collecting a high aspect ratio silver nanowire from the product mixture and having total glycol concentration in the container in the process of less than 0.001 wt.% constantly.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
