PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which an already-expanded resource cannot be used if the type of received PDL data is switched.SOLUTION: A memory controller for processing received PDL data comprises: expansion means which expands the received PDL data in a first memory region and expands a resource used by the PDL data in a second memory region; determination means which determines whether stored start-up information is a first value or a second value; and control means which releases the first memory region and deletes the resource expanded in the second memory region when it is determined that the start-up information is the first value, and releases the first memory region and performs control so as not to delete the resource expanded in the second memory region when it is determined that the start-up information is the second value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
