PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software updating device capable of dealing with various situations such as updating capability per ECU and use cases in the case of updating control information in a plurality of ECUs.SOLUTION: A software updating device comprises: a first communication unit that connects with a server and a plurality of control devices to transmit and receive data, and receives update data applied per group of the plurality of control devices and update control information referred to in order to apply the update data per control device from the server; a second communication unit that transmits the update data applied to each control device per group of the plurality of control devices; and an update control unit that controls the plurality of control devices via the second communication unit so as to apply the update data on the basis of the update control information per group of the plurality of control devices.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
