PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition which has high transparency and excellent thermal stability, oxidation degradation resistance and hydrolysis resistance, and also has film molding workability, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A polyester resin composition contains an iodine element and a phosphorus element of 1.5 to 5.0 mol/t. A ratio of an alkali metal element to a phosphorus element contained in the composition satisfies formula (I): 0.1≤M1/P≤1.0, and a content of a copper element is 0.05 mol/t or less. In the formula (I), M1 is the total molar amount of the alkali metal element contained in the polyester resin; and P is a molar amount of the phosphorus elements contained in the polyester resin.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
