PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus that reduces an amount of retraction of sheets from a manual feed tray accompanying drive of a switching unit.SOLUTION: A first conveyance roller 60 rotates normally or reversely when rotation in a first direction of a conveyance motor 76 is transmitted. A pump 143 is driven when rotation in a second direction of the conveyance motor 76 is transmitted. A port switching mechanism 59 switches communication states between ports when the rotation in the first direction of the conveyance motor 76 is transmitted. A control unit performs motor control to rotate the conveyance motor 76 in the first direction by a first predetermined amount that is smaller than the amount of complete switching rotation, which is the amount of rotation necessary to bring the port switching mechanism 59 into a state where image recording can be performed, and then to rotate the conveyance motor 76 in the second direction by a second predetermined amount not more than the first predetermined amount, and thus to rotate the conveyance motor 76 in the first direction by difference between the amount of complete switching rotation and the first predetermined amount to bring the communication state between the ports of the port switching mechanism 59 into a state where image recording can be performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
