The bobbin-case in a rotary hook or the bobbin-case carrier in a shuttletype of looptaker comprises a metal part which contains an opening for the passage of the needle and which is embedded, at its edge remote from the looptaker body, in a part made from a plastics material such as nylon. As shown, a bobbin case comprises a plastics part 13 which is journalled in a metal body 12 fired to a rotary shaft 11, is formed integrally with 'holding lugs 16 and a central post 20 for supporting a bobbin 21, and which is injection-moulded upon a metal insert 19 containing a needle passage 18. In a further, embodiment a bobbin-case carrier comprises a plastics part which has an integrally formed central post for supporting a bobbin-case, and which is injectionmoulded upon a metal part containing a needle passage. |
