PURPOSE:To trim a picture accurately in accordance with a trimming indication sheet, by contracting and projecting a monitor picture on a penetration type screen and by superposing the line picture of the trimming indication sheet upon the projected image. CONSTITUTION:A picture appearing on a CRT screen 8 is contracted and projected in a penetration screen 10 through a zoom lens 9. With this constitution, a plate maker sets a trimming indication sheet in close contact with the projection screen 10 to superpose the line picture of the indication sheet on the projected image, and views them. When the images are not coincident, the variable magnification knob 11 of the lens 9 is turned until they coincide with each other. Then, the knob of the trimming circuit of a video plate making device is turned to trim four upper and lower, and left and right sides on the monitor. Thus, the vaguness of trimming is eliminated to obtain a picture trimmed accurately in accordance with the indication sheet. |
