A pallet assembly 100 has a flat platform 1 in an aperture 4 of which is fitted a locator 5 for a spigot 8 on the locator to project axially from a side face 2 of the platform. The spigot 8 is received in a socketed end 14 of a support 13 which forms a leg, foot or spacer on the platform. The locator 5 is retained on the platform 1 by a flange 7 abutting face 3 of the platform and catches 9 on the locator snap engaging over the edge of the platform. The spigot 8 is formed by a circumferentially spaced array of axially extending hollow bosses 40 which taper to converge towards their free ends 41 from open ends 42 thereof and which permit two locators 5 to be nested with the bosses 40 of one locator 5 being received axially through the open ends 42 and within the bosses 40 of the second locator. The locator may have a second spigot 8' extending in a direction axially opposite to that of the spigot 8 and for receiving a further support. Both the spigots 8 and 8' may be formed by similarly tapered hollow bosses 40, 40' which permit several locators to be nested axially. <IMAGE> |
