The connector has an insulating housing (10) with a number of separate chambers (11) next to one another, receiving respective terminals (17) held in position via corresponding retaining pins (15). Each terminal cooperates with an insertion guide, to allow frictionless insertion in the respective chamber. Pref. the insertion guide has a guide surface, provided by a projection in the top wall (11a) of the respective chamber, which is inclined in the insertion direction, the retaining pin slid across each chamber and having a channel corresponding in profile to the guide surface, for cooperating with the latter. USE/ADVANTAGE - Secure retention of inserted terminals, e.g. for wiring connections to vehicle dashboard.
