PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the occurrence of earlier destruction to be prevented even in the case of rough tolerance by specifying the surface roughness parameter and Rockwell hardness of the surface of a ball torque transmission and hardening an outside track, an inside track, and the window face of a cage to their specific harnesses. SOLUTION: An outside member 2 of a constant velocity universal ball joint accommodates an inside member 6 in a cavity 3 having an inner surface 4. An outer surface 7 of this inside member 6 is provided with plural inside tracks 8 corresponding to outside tracks 5, a ball 17 for transmitting a torque to plural pairs of both tracks 5 and 8 is accommodated, and a cage 11 is arranged between the inner surface 4 of the cavity 3 and the outer surface of the inside member 6 to guide this ball. In the case, the ball 17 gives its surface roughness parameter of 0.5 to 3μm and its hardness of approx. 58 to 66 HRC (Rockwell hardness) by polishing its surface and gives its hardness of 58 to 62 HRC by hardening the outside track 5, the inside track 8, and the window face of the cage 11.
