<p>A diode limiter device comprises a PIN diode 15 mounted on the end of a conductive post 14 supported by a conductive boss 13 mounted in a recess set into the wall of a waveguide 11. The other side of the PIN diode is electrically connected via boss 17 to a wiring substrate 21 housed inside a second recess on the opposite wall of the waveguide. The substrate carries a resistor (20, see figure 2, 4) connected in parallel to a Schottky barrier diode (SBD) (19, see figure 2, 4), and is electrically connected to the waveguide.</p> |
