摘要 The invention relates to novel method for preparing catalysts that satisfactorily meet the necessary requirements for different industrial applications involving catalytic oxidation of SO2 to SO3. Said materials or the supports thereof consist of honeycombed structures which are formed by extruding the corresponding precursor pastes with the aid of a natural silicate. Said method can be used for preparing supported platinum catalysts and massive vanadium/potassium catalysts with high catalytic and fluid-dynamic performance for the above-mentioned oxidation process. Said catalysts are particularly suitable for treating or purifying large volumes of gases with a low SO<2> content, which are generally emitted by combustion units and other industrial processes.
