Date Aug. 7, 1997A distamycin derivative of formula (I): wherein: n is 2, 3 or 4; R0 is C1-C4 alkyl or -CH2CH2-X2, wherein X2 is a halogen atom; R1 and R2 are selected, each independently, from: hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl optionally substituted by one or more fluorine atoms, C1-C4 alkoxy, and halogen; X1 is a halogen atom; B is selected from: wherein R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, and R9 are, each independently, hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl, and m is 0, 1 or 2; with the proviso that, when R0 is -CH2CH2-X2, B is different from -(CH2)m-NR6R7 and at least one of R3, R4, and R5 is C1-C4 alkyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
