摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery which has a current cut-off mechanism operated by an internal pressure rise and has a better battery performance (for example, low internal resistance). <P>SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery (lithium ion battery) 10 includes a current cut-off mechanism 40 to operate by an internal pressure rise. The positive electrode 32 to constitute the battery 10 includes a positive electrode mixture containing a positive electrode active material having a lithium transition metal oxide as the main component, a conductive material, and lithium carbonate. Then, the lithium carbonate is arranged on the surface of the conductive material. Such positive electrode mixture is formed more preferably by using a positive electrode mixture composition which contains, for example, a composite conductive material in which lithium carbonate is supported on the surface of the conductive material and a positive electrode active material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
