Clutter is filtered from a first digital input image. The method (10) includes the steps of applying at least first and second transforms to first digital image data (20) corresponding to the first digital input image, discarding at least a portion of the transform indications corresponding to the clutter (30), applying at least first and second inverse transforms to retained transform indications corresponding to at least one structure (40), and processing the filtered indications corresponding to the at least one structure to produce a single filtered image (50). After the treatment of the image by the method (10) the target or at least one structure is detectable in the image. |
