COMPACT LIGHT SOURCE MODULE USING LIGHT SOURCE SUCH AS LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND PROJECTION DISPLAY ADOPTING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A compact light source module and a projection display adopting the same are provided to reduce a radiation angle and prevent loss of light by using a collimating member having a parabolic first reflective surface and a second reflective surface. CONSTITUTION: A compact light source module includes a compact light source(200) and a collimating member(101). The collimating member includes a first reflective surface(130) and a second reflective surface(150). The first reflective surface is used for reducing a radiation angle at which a light beam radiates from the compact light source, in order to emit the light beam through a side aperture. The second reflective surface is located under the first reflective surface and includes an incident part through which the light beam radiates from the compact light source. The compact light source is located in the adjacent area of a focal point of the first reflective surface.
