PURPOSE: A device, a system and a method for extracting bodily fluid, such as blood and interstitial fluid and monitoring an analyte, for example, glucose in the bodily fluid are provided which minimize pains and/or inconvenience to users and monitor analyte continuously or semi-continuously. CONSTITUTION: The system for extracting bodily fluid and monitoring an analyte in the bodily fluid comprises a disposable cartridge(12) containing a sampling module(18) which is adapted to extract the bodily fluid from the body; and an analysis module(20) which is adapted to measure the analyte in the bodily fluid; and a local controller module(14) which is in electronic communication with the disposable cartridge(12), and is adapted to receive measured data from the analysis module(20) and store the data.
