(Aminoalkylbenzoyl) benzofuran or benzothiophene derivatives of general formula (I) in the form of individual isomers or their mixtures are disclosed, wherein the variables shown in the formula (I) are as described in the specification. These compounds of formula (I) are useful as medicines in particular for treating pathological syndromes of the cardiovascular system.
