<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems, wherein regarding a projection-type display apparatus for projecting an image on a screen through a projection lens, in the case of projecting images that do not require a screen display, for example, in the case of projecting the display such as setting of a projector body, it is necessary to have light emitted from a very expensive light source lamp whose service life is short, and consequently, the lifetime of the light source lamp is shortened. <P>SOLUTION: A lens cover 4, equipped with a display function such as liquid crystal, is used as a lens cover for protecting the projection lens 3, and the image that does not require screen display is displayed on the lens cover with the display function 4; and here, the need for emission of the light from the light source lamp is dispensed with. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
