<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which composes the contour line of a parts glyph and then paints it out. <P>SOLUTION: A font drawing device includes: a memory wherein data indicating gradations of pixels arranged like a matrix; a contour drawing means which writes data representing the contour line of a first glyph represented by first glyph data read from a storage means wherein glyph data indicating contours of a glyph and directions of the contours are stored, into the memory and writes data representing the contour line of a second glyph represented by second glyph data read from the storage means, into the memory; and a painting out means which executes painting-out processing of painting out pixels on the inside of the contour lines out of pixels stored in the memory, wherein it is determined whether an area surrounded with two contour lines is to be painted out or not in accordance with directions of the two contour lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
