INDUCTIVE WAVEGUIDE IRIS FOR THE ADAPTABLE TUNING

An inductive waveguide iris for adaptable tuning is provided to correct electric characteristics variation due to the manufacturing error, without re-manufacturing the microwave iris, by forming the iris in various shapes. A waveguide iris includes a waveguide having a certain cross-sectional shape, in which a fine correctable screw is inserted. The iris is an asymmetric iris having variable characteristics according to distances(330a,340a) from a waveguide wall and according to a length(310a) and a width(320a) of the iris. The iris includes an embossed portion and has variable electric characteristics according to a height and a width of the iris, and according to a height and a width of the embossed portion.
