A method and a system for searching for a navigation path through digital multimedia broadcasting are provided to enable a driver to deviate from an accident site by displaying the accident site on the navigation path. A system for searching for a navigation path through digital multimedia broadcasting includes a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) set-top box(110), a data processor(120), a screen display(140), and a navigation unit(130). The DMB set-top box receives broadcasting data, which is provided through a DMB network. The data processor extracts accident position data from the broadcasting data and supplies the accident position data to the navigation system. The screen display displays an image signal from the navigation system and the DMB set-top box on a screen. The navigation unit searches for the navigation path by using the accident position data and determines a navigation path deviating from the accident position. |
