<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithographic printing plate excellent in cleaner resistance and excellent also in burning printing durability and dot reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the lithographic printing plate having on a support a recording layer containing an alkali-soluble resin containing a monomer unit having a phenyl group substituted by a substituent of formula (1) and an infrared absorbent includes disposing the recording layer by coating on the support, and drying the recording layer, wherein the drying step includes a heat treatment in which a temperature condition of 150-250°C is maintained for 0.1-60 s.
