<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform tone correction processing to an image data with high definition, while suppressing an increase of necessary memory capacity. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor 13 includes a tone corrector 133 for performing tone correction. The tone corrector 133 performs the tone correction by reading out a one-dimensional lookup table from a parameter data set DS1 stored in a library 135. The above one-dimensional lookup table retains data in a state of being thinned out in a specific tone area having a small tone variation. The one-dimensional lookup table has an output tone value of 8 bits in the specific tone area, as compared to the output tone value in the other tone area having the number of tones of 10 bits.
