PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull latch device which can positively cancel a latch even if a push-pull stroke is small. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the push-pull latch device, a slit portion (31) is formed in a latch driving rotary plate (23) rotatably arranged on a main body (10), and a spiral rod (30) connected to a handle (8) is engaged with the slit portion (31) in a manner capable of push-pull operation. When the handle (8) is pushed or pulled, the latch driving rotary plate (23) is rotated via the slit portion (31). Further a claw piece (24) is formed on the periphery of the latch driving rotary plate (23), and the latch (5) is canceled by the claw piece (24) via an interlocking plate (19).
