PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a construction member of a building, and a runner metal, which enhance the working efficiency of the construction of the construction member and secure safety of work, by eliminating a position marking operation for a supporting member, so as to facilitate the identification of the arrangement position of the supporting member. SOLUTION: In the runner metal, a marker group for applying marking for the mounting of the runner metal onto the construction surface of the construction member and for subsequently identifying an arrangement interval between the supporting members is provided on a rising portion. In the construction method for the construction member of the building, the runner metal is arranged on the construction surface of the construction member in accordance with the marking for the mounting of the runner metal while a division interval between one end of the runner metal and an adjacent end of the marker group is checked; and after that, the supporting member is mounted in a set position in consideration of the division interval on the basis of the marker closely akin to the set position of the supporting member, so that the operation of laying a surface material formed in predetermined dimensions can be laid.
