PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flush gate which enables small-diameter foreign matter to flow down to a downstream side, while preventing block-like foreign matter from being caught in an opening during flushing. SOLUTION: This flush gate is equipped with a valve body 2, the lower end of which is pivotally mounted on a gate portion near a bottom section of a waterway, and which can freely swing on the horizontal axial center P between a raised cut-off attitude for closing the waterway and an inverted attitude for opening the waterway. In the flush gate, the opening H, which enables the passage of water between the bottom of the waterway and a lower edge portion 23 of the valve body 2 along with the tilting of the valve body 2 into the inverted attitude, is formed. A weir 6, which is as high as or slightly higher than the lower edge portion 23 of the valve body 2 when the valve body swings to the inverted attitude, is installed on the upstream side of the valve body 2.
