PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder inhaler device equipped with an electric drug preparation measuring device to accurately show a user either the number of times of drug preparation already done or yet to be done. SOLUTION: The inhaler based on this invention is provided with an inhalation channel, a rotatable drug preparation unit equipped with a drug preparation part to supply an amount of drug for one-time administration, and a drug preparation counting unit equipped with an electric circuit to drive a display device to display related information about the inhaler use. The electric circuit is provided with first and second switches opening and closing by the rotation of the drug preparation unit. The electric circuit counts the drug preparation times only when the circuit, upon rotation of the drug preparation unit, detects conditions: (a) the first switch is closed and the second is opened, (b) both the first and second switches are closed, (c) the first switch is opened and the second is closed or (d) both the first and second switches are opened.
