PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To early and securely predict the starting of rising motion of a patient's body on a bed. SOLUTION: The prediction system 1 includes a transmitter 2 for continuously transmitting ultrasonic signals to a management area including a bed in a condition attached to the ceiling, a receiver 3 for receiving ultrasonic signals reflected within the management area in a condition attached to the ceiling, a position calculation means 4 for calculating a three-dimensional position of the head of a patient on a bed from moment to moment from the reflected ultrasonic data acquired by the receiver 3 at every predetermined time corresponding to the ultrasonic signals transmitted from the transmitter 2, a determination means 5 for sensing temporal variation from a lying position in the three-dimensional position of the patient from a calculation result by the position calculation means 4 and determining whether the patient on the bed started rising motion or not based on the sensing result, and a notice means 6 for transmitting notice signals when the starting of rising motion of the patient is sensed by the discrimination means 5.
