PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, inexpensive and portable measuring device capable of acquiring easily a focused image. SOLUTION: This portable measuring device capable of measuring a measuring object, in a state of being held by a user's hand, is equipped with an imaging means for acquiring a photographed image by photographing the measuring object, a recording means for recording a photographed image group acquired by continuously photographing during a fixed period by the imaging means; an instruction input means for performing instruction input, in order to make a recording operation of the photographed image group start in the fixed period, and a selection means for selecting a photographed image, having the highest focusing degree from among a plurality of photographed images recorded in the recording means.
