PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which prevent a flat type conductor from being damaged at the time of removal.SOLUTION: A connector 1 comprises: a terminal 5; a housing 4 in which the terminal 5 is held and which includes an insertion port for a flat type conductor 3 and a fitting chamber in which the flat type conductor 3 and the terminal 5 are conducted and brought into contact; and a lock projection 8a by which the flat type conductor 3 is locked in a removal direction within the fitting chamber. The flat type conductor 3 comprises: a lock recess 3c which is provided in a side edge part 3e in a direction of insertion into the fitting chamber and includes a lock edge part 3c1 which is abutted and locked with the lock projection 8a in the removal direction; and a protrusive piece 3A which is positioned between the lock edge part 3c1 and a distal end 3C of the flat type conductor 3. In the fitting chamber, a relief space 4f is provided. Thus, when removing the flat type conductor 3, in the housing 4, the protrusive piece 3A is abutted to the lock projection 8a and deformed in the insertion direction and can enter the relief space 4f. Therefore, the protrusive piece 3A can be prevented from being damaged by applying an excessive load thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
