PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader and an image formation device capable of correcting the tilt angle of a larger document, without increasing the capacity of a buffer memory.SOLUTION: An image reader includes a document feeder 20 for feeding a document, a feeding speed control unit 80 for controlling the feeding speed of a document by the document feeder 20, a reading unit(image reading unit 10) for reading the image of a document, being fed at the feeding speed controlled by the feeding speed control unit 80, and generating image data, and a tilt correction unit (tilt correction processing unit 31) for storing the image data, generated by the reading unit, in a buffer memory, and correcting the tilt of the image data stored in the buffer memory. When predetermined conditions are satisfied, the feeding speed control unit 80 increases the feeding speed of a document to a predetermined second speed, higher than the predetermined first speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
