6-Alkenyl-, 6-alkinyl- and 6-epoxy-epothilone derivatives, process for their production, and their use in pharmaceutical preparations

Disclosed are epothilone compounds of general formula (I), process for their preparation, their use in the treatment of diseases or conditions associated with cell growth, division and/or proliferation and pharmaceutical compositions comprising them. Epothilone compounds of general formula (I) interact with tubulin by stabilizing microtubuli and are thus able to influence the cell-splitting in a phase-specific manner. Accordingly, the compounds, alone or in combination with other principle effective in tumor therapy, find use in the treatment of malignant tumors.
