PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability substrate for a photoelectric conversion device with enhanced adhesion between a metallic film used as a backside reflective layer and a supporting component; and to provide a photoelectric conversion device using the same.

SOLUTION: The foregoing problem can be solved by the substrate for a photoelectric conversion device characterized by the fact that a metallic film is provided on the treatment surface of a metal oxide film processed with a carbonyl group-containing compound (-C(O)-).
