PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection device that can accurately detect not only collision with a pedestrian but also collision with a two-wheel vehicle, etc.SOLUTION: A collision detection device that can detect collision with a bumper face 101 disposed on the front side of a vehicle 100 includes: a cylindrical sensor tube 3 disposed in the rear of the bumper face 101 and extended in the width direction of the vehicle 100; a detector that can detect deformation of the sensor tube 3; and an impact absorption member 2 that has an accommodation portion 21 for accommodating the sensor tube 3, is disposed in the rear of the bumper face 101 and can absorb impact. The impact absorption member 2 has a slit 22 that is formed to communicate with the accommodation portion 21 and of which inner volume is reduced when receiving impact. When impact reduces the inner volume of the slit 22, the sensor tube 3 in the accommodation portion 21 is deformed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
