PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation system and a couling unit which can reduce the occurrence frequency of improper connection for connecting a plurality of cables to a wrong connector, when connecting a plurality of cables of the same type between a plurality of image formation devices to be assembled integrally via the coupling unit and the coupling unit.SOLUTION: An image reading system 11 is constituted by assembling a flat bed type first scanner device 20, and a sheet feed type second scanner device 30 integrally via a coupling unit 40 having a circuit board 60. The fist distance between the communication connector 27 of the first scanner device 20 and the first communication connector 58 of the circuit board 60, is shorter than the second distance between the communication connector 38 of the second scanner device 30 and the second communication connector 59 of the circuit board 60. A first communication cable 74 for connection between the communication connectors 27, 58 is shorter than a second communication cable 75 for connection between the communication connectors 38, 59.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
