PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device for a vehicle capable of more surely protecting an occupant of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An occupant protection device 1 for a vehicle which protects an occupant of the vehicle by a brake actuator 5, a seat actuator 6 and a pretensioner actuator 7 which are operated by electric energy comprises: an energy conversion part 2 for converting kinetic energy of a wheel to electric energy; and an electricity storing part 3 for storing the electric energy which has been converted by the energy conversion part. When the vehicle is in an emergency state, it supplies the actuators with the electric energy of which amount of electric energy that can be supplied to the actuators per unit time is greater, between the electric energy that can be converted by the energy conversion part and the electric energy that is stored in the electricity storing part 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
