PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control system which can ensure behavior stability and braking force of a vehicle in accordance with a driving skill of a driver in braking on a split μ road.SOLUTION: A brake control system individually controls wheel cylinder hydraulic pressures of right and left, front and rear wheels of a vehicle and performs anti-lock brake control. When road surface friction coefficients μ of the right and left wheels are determined to have a difference during the anti-lock brake control, a hydraulic pressure of a low μ side, front and rear wheels of a determined low μ road surface is taken as a low μ side hydraulic pressure, and a hydraulic pressure of a high μ side rear wheel of a determined high μ road surface is controlled to be the low μ side hydraulic pressure. When a prescribed vehicle state is detected, the brake control system individually controls hydraulic pressures of the right and left rear wheels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
