PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for holographic recording and reproducing capable of achieving a higher density of recording information for a reflection type recording medium and stably reproducing a hologram and, moreover, capable of simplifying the structure of a device body and performing a higher speed access.SOLUTION: A method for holographic recording and reproducing according to the present invention performs a multiple recording of a hologram on a reflection type recording medium by a spherical reference light multiple system, and uses such a recording medium that comprises: a hologram recording layer irradiated with signal light and reference light from one surface side; and a reflection layer stacked on the other surface of the hologram recording layer via a light transmission layer. A device for holographic recording and reproducing according to the present invention performs the method for holographic recording and reproducing, in which one of an optical mechanism for radiating the signal light and the reference light and the recording medium is relatively moved to the other one in one direction along the surface of the recording medium so as to perform the shift multiple recording on the recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
