PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform photographing with a smooth focus change by using a manual focus.SOLUTION: A camera main body 140 has a camera MPU 150 which performs switching from a manual focus adjustment to an automatic focus adjustment, when a focus lens is moved to a position before a focusing position by a predetermined amount by manual focus adjustment means and when at least one of the speed and acceleration of the focus lens in the defocus position of the focus lens satisfies a condition for stopping the focus lens at the focusing position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
