摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption current flowing unused at an off state and quickly lowering an output voltage of a regulator to a level close to 0 V.SOLUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit for regulator comprises a discharge circuit that can extract electric charge of an output capacitor according to an external control signal. The discharge circuit includes: a constant current source circuit which operates using a DC voltage applied to an input terminal as power supply voltage, and generates or blocks constant current according to the control signal; a reference voltage generation circuit which generates a voltage as reference for comparison operation, based on the constant current from the constant current source circuit; a voltage comparison circuit which compares an output voltage to the reference voltage; and a current amplifier circuit which, when the output voltage is higher than the reference voltage, outputs a current obtained by amplifying the constant current. The control circuit controls a control transistor according to the control signal, and the discharge circuit causes a discharge transistor to operate by current amplified by the current amplifier circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
