Anti-theft system for vehicle - has combination lock coupled to decoder and operating disabling switch

The vehicle anti-theft system has a switch disconnecting one of the engine's essential functions and operated from inside the vehicle. The switch has a combination lock. The combination lock is coupled to a decoder (26) that only closes the switch when the correct combination of numbers is entered. The disabling switch automatically resets itself (i.e. opens) when the engine is turned off. The decoder may be located inside the ignition distributor or the fuel injection pump.
