PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for the aromatization of lower hydrocarbons, which is improved in the activity life stability in terms of methane conversion, benzene formation rate, naphthalene formation rate and BTX formation rate (total formation rate of benzene, toluene and xylene) and brings about an increase in the yield of useful aromatic compounds such as benzene and toluene.
SOLUTION: The catalyst for aromatization of lower hydrocarbons is used for reacting the lower hydrocarbon with carbon dioxide to produce aromatic compounds and obtained by depositing molybdenum and silver on metallosilicate being a carrier. ZSM-5 and MCM-22 are exemplified as the metallosilicate. It is preferable that molybdenum is deposited so that the concentration of deposited molybdenum after fired is 2-12 wt.% of the carrier and silver is deposited so that the molar ratio of Ag:Mo=X:1 is (0.01-0.3):1. The firing temperature of the metallosilicate on which both of molybdenum and silver are deposited is preferably set within 400-700°C.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
